Today I deburred the flywheel and installed it after I bolted this and the one that goes ahead of it on. Then I spent a couple hours looking for misplaced parts The plate with the bolts welded to it is so I don't have to fight a wrench between the frame and fuel tank.

Geez,
I have got to drag my welder out, you guys work is inspiring me to finish some of my projects.
In another life I would like to find one of the rare 1991 limited edition Cummins powered crew cab duallys with factory hydraboost brakes, it had a boxed galvanized chassis and stainless steel body panels..

The only one I have ever seen was the one in my mind, yet I keep looking.

How do you find the time or have the energy to do so much work on your trucks? Ya must be a bit younger than me, that's it.

Jim

I am 54 next week and have always been a car guy. Though lately the ground seems farther away and my arms don't work so well over my head as they used to hence the 30" jack stands.

Yesterday I installed my twin sticks. I need to fiddle around with adjustments and shorten a couple bolts before it is done and I put the locknuts on. They just touch the dash in low but I may have enough adjustment to fix that. If not The sticks will get bent.Or modified.

Dayum those look good Mark!! Your making me want to get my set up in the works too.

How about opening the holes in the mounting points on the shifters, then you could angle them back just a hair. I know they are splined to be more secure...but I wouldn't want to be bumping the dash.

I am pretty sure that It will adjust out. I adjusted them from the bottom to be as close to center in neutral. That is where I quit. I just didn't feel like getting back under there.

On the bright side everything is nice and clean to work on . There is several ways to fix the problem if it won't just be an adjustment. heat and bend the sticks, cut the bottoms above the splines and offset them are to that come to mind. anything from about 2/3 down will be covered by the boot any way.

Man that twin stick looks good Mark! I think I recognize the one on the right: I found when I did the twin sticks on mine that I spent a bunch of time underneath it adjusting the position of the sticks. I also found that the left stick has about twice the throw of the right stick. It's 100% worth it once you drive it though.
That truck's gonna be too pretty to drive!

Thanks Tim,
How did you know that was the stick I got from you It took me quite a while heating and bending in different spots to get the factory bend out good and straight

Mine move the same amount in both directions. so far anyway. The front detent isn't as strong as the rear though. One of these days I will pull the cap and check the spring. Or
