What pump do you have? I can get you one in the mail. You're in Canada, right? USPS is open tomorrow.

Rugtrucker sent me the springs and the big bore one fit perfect. Also got the fuel line, fitting from 1/2 to 1/4 and the spacer. And ofcourse a big bore cummins dcec pump.
So that problem is solved

I took this vaccuum pump right apart, new power steering pump, new ball bearing that i got pressed on at the machine shop, all new orings and new diaphram pumps. Anyway, i just finished pushing the gear and bearing part onto the PS pump by means of a stud and nut, as mentioned in the writeup of Jim Lane, but there a bit of up and down play on the gear, like where my finger is. If i hold the gear i can wiggle it up and down a bit, like an 1/8 of an inch. Is that normal?

Is it the gear that is moving via the bearing, or is it the housing?

The gear and bearing move together. It would jave to be the PS shaft or something. So its not normal?

Hey thrashingcows, for your build did you use washers as well to bolt the crossmembers to the frame? That is not in your thread. And what did you torque them to? Again thanks for your thread so much good info in there. Its really helped me. Im doing my thread on another forum unfortunately. Started there and just kept going there
