I know it's not injector lines, that's why I didn't bother changing. I did not put a clear line in yet, and negative on the fuel heater gasket. My timing is 1/8 over stock and I've had this problem since before I did the timing.

Drop the timing back a little bit and see what it does.

I'd try checking fuel pressure and new fuel filter.

Dropped timing back to stock, didn't change. I did get the horrid POD haze back though. Another thing I just thought of is, before I bought the truck it had several shut down solenoids get eaten up. Is it possible for a chunk of rubber to have gone through and messed something up or be stuck somewhere not allowing fuel by as it should until more pressure is on it?

The chunks wind up in the delivery valves. You could take them off and clean them out.

Do you think that could be doing it? I don't really want to tearing it apart if it's not very likely. Thanks for the help.

I would get a clear line in for a visual check on air in the fuel first, but I am running out of bright ideas on this one.

I'll give that a shot, one less thing to do once I finalize the fuel system anyway.

How many miles on the fuel pump???
Mine only had 90k on it and it would stumble a little, come to find out the diaphragm had a tear in it and was only putting out like 2psi max at idle. If the pump is weak or on its way out they will still run, just not as smooth

New piston pump upgrade and she is running right as rain.

Lift pump was replaced about 10K miles before I got the truck, so there is give or take a few maybe 14K

When i was having my issues it was also a lift pump. It was less than a year old. I put the clear line on, about 6 feet of it, wrapped it up and around the mirror, and went for a drive. The check ball in the pump wasnt working, and was shooting air back down the line towards the tank.
Just something to think about.
