What trans do I have?
My '96 still has the option sheet under the hood, and I noticed the following codes and description:
Code Description
DGB STD Duty 4spd Auto Trans
DGP 4Speed Auto Trans CHR
DHH CC Torque Converter
I bought the truck from my dad who had the trans re-built shortly after the warranty ran out. I just wondered what the codes, and descriptions mean. I guess DHH is a cruise control torque converter, but I never knew they differed from othe converters.

its a good trans, once some work has been done to it- stock it lets the engine rev to high before putting power to the ground and its shifts are to soft causing clutch plate and band wear. to fix this save some penny's and order up a goerend 900/400 converter and a upgraded valve body and don't forget to adjust these
