Water Pump replacement $ and easy?

My 96 12V is starting to leak coolant from the h20 pump. Are they as easy to change as the 3rd gens? About what cost and where would I get the best deal on a new pump? Thanks!

Never changed one on a 3rd Gen but have changed them on a 98 and a 95. Very easy, two bolts holding it on. I believe I bought both of mine off Ebay since I wasn't leaking yet, just replaced with hoses and coolant as part of PM. Took me longer to do the hoses and the coolant than it did to change the pump. Did not use an OEM part either time, think I paid around $75 plus shipping both times.

Check with Cummins directly before going to a dealer. I think I paid 75$ for mine at Cummins.

Local Cummins had a better price than Napa, about $80.
Hardest part is catching spilled coolant and refilling.

had to put one on my truck this summer, put the advance special on it. I dont go to the dealer and cummins is 1.5hr away. Took me about 1.5 in the driveway. I put a new therostat in while I was putting the wp on.

local parts house $50 and no core charge or trade in. only other cost is the coolant. the pump is held in with two bolts with 10mm heads.
