transmission mount

the 95 in sig broke the tranny mount the first time I pulled it and before that I hadn't drove it very much so I thought I would try a new mount but was a waste of time b/c didnt get more than 40 miles out of the new one. Anyone know where I can get a heavy duty one or any ideas what I can do to make the stock one better or how to make one. Thanks

DCX version is stronger than the aftermarket brands, and the NV5600 support is stronger than the NV4500 - might give that one a try

the second one I put on was a 5600. Where would I get a DCX version?

Really, you're having a problem with constantly breaking tranny mounts? The only time I have broken one is when I had a broken motor mount... might wanna check into that.

upon further review the engine mount had a crack in the steel part of the mount so I took it out to fix it and found that the rubber was torn badly and the crack was bad so I fixed the crack and built the rubber part of the mount out of an old leaf spring end. Wont break again!

i didn't weld the spring end in place on the mount for the fact that the mount is cast and I was afraid to weaken it. But some would say it wouldn't hurt it but I wouldn't. Just find a spring end that is 3" in dia on the out side and get a pice of rubber ie a fernco fitting and drive it inside the rubber and then size the inner hole down to disired size of bolt. I went with a 1/2" grade eight bolt.
