stock 96 no start

stock 96 no start

please help guys, getting truck sunday to work on for family member...truck will not start, is it a fuel pump, or maybe fuel shut off solinoid...bone stock, even has muffler...145k

Follow the first two directions at this link http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/trouble..._solenoid.html

1. Turn the key on but do not bump the starter

2. Get under hood and pull up the solenoid by hand (it will stay up when you let go).

After this try starting the truck. If the truck starts you may have a wiring problem or you need a fuel shut down relay. My truck did the same thing and the relay fixed the problem.

hey there got the truck....fuel pump solinoid looks tobe working...there is no fuel out the lift pump

hey guys, got the truck...the solinoid works, cant get fuel out the lift pump...

Could be:
bad lift pump, kinked fuel line, in tank filter plugged up, no fuel in tank.
Try blowing it out backwards toward tank with compressed air.
Remove fuel tank cap first.

And stupid as it sounds, make sure there is fuel in the tank, gauges are notorious for being off on these things.
