heeelllp needed !

retimed my 98 12v and when i removed the delivery valve for no 1 there was

no copper washer under the delivery valve barrrel ?

sooooo i removed no 6 and no 3 delivery valves to see if they had the washers .

no washers here eather ?

all instructions i have read about timing the engine say to replace these washers ?

do all pumps have them or were they not on the 98 ???

98 2174 cpl if it matters ?

now also i noticed the barrel < outer part of delivery valve has a machined step on one end ,

some had the step installed on top some had it on bottom ??

witch way is correct ?
