O K here goes , I know I'll get a few demeaning responses to this but. My truck has developed a vibrating droneing noise ,that hasn't been there before. It does it idling in neutral and park and goes away when put in reverse or drive, I notice it also when driving at certain speeds. Can't seem to hear it under the truck but it's quite noticeable in the cab. Could this be convertor or trans going bad?

 

Sounds similar to the noise I had when the power steering fluid level was low....hope that's all it is.

 

Thanks for the reply , but thats not it . Haven't really had time to investigate any further , but it's getting worse. Sounds like maybe a broken flexplate , I hope not but oh well! I think Cummins has a better flex plate anybody know or have an experience with this? Thanks
