Dang these auto tranny's

Here we go again. last time it was the spped sensor. That was about a year ago. This morning, without any notice, it just wouldn't shift into second. I could let off the acc. and it would shift then, then go thru the rest of the shifts ok. And I was just thinking this weekind about dropping the pan for a fluid change. Any ideas? I'm taking it to a shop, but I want to make sure they shoot strait.

I know Relentless Diesel in Wills has a GREAT reputation with a lot of guys on here, and is pretty close to you. They know these trucks better than any chain tranny shop.

Well. Just got word from the trans shop. A band is gone. They tried all the adjustment to make it shift right but couldn't make it go. It'll be ready tomorrow. Good thing I held onto my tax return. They are going to add me a temp gauge too.

I'm on the road again. If anyone is in the Bryan/College Station Texas area, and need trans work, I highly recomend Oliver Bros. Awsome folks, awsome job. Turned out the front band was trashed, had tons of debris in the pan. I had got this truck used and have no idea who did what for the first 60K miles. Oh well. I'm still way ahead on it. I'm happy.
