Talking New '95

I finally found my daughter a truck. It's a '95 reg cab, long bed, 2wd, 5spd w/ 152,000 miles on it. A detailer owned it and the interior is like brand new. The paint has been touched up, but not like w/ a mop or anything. It looks pretty sharp. Now the bad news. We get it home and take it for a longer drive. I noticed it missing a little bit. I had already looked at the fuel lines and they're good. I was gonna run the overhead but I dont think that is what the problem is. I'm gonna crack each injector and see if I can find out if one of them are bad. Would a OF valve cause the same miss? She leaves for college tomorrow, so we're running a little short of troubleshooting time. Can a guy pull those injectors without a special tool? What about an OF valve?

Yer girl can drive a stick? Is she single?
My 95 has 235,000 miles on it. Just did a zero plate in the pump. Hoping to be above 350 hp.

Well maybe next time?
Only rodeo I know of was over in Buffalo. Should hit that one next year. People talk a lot about the one in Buffalo.

OK..

if she can cook, clean, back a trailer and turn steers, tell me where to find one of these rare women Just yankin ur chain man,

here is a linky to a DIY injector puller

http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/injector_puller.htm

Id say the Overflow valve might need replacing, or the truck might be out of timing as well if its causing a slight miss, id try the valve first, cheaper and much easier to fix than actually trying to time the truck...

Best of luck, and hope she dont get bit by the BOMB bug, those regular cabs CAN BE WICKED.... maybe its not such a bad thing if she gets bitten by the BOMB bug.. he he he he he

Do a search on OF valves to find the typical symptoms. What you have dosent sound out of the question. Why I dont recall, but ive read about 2nd gen miss type probs. I have a 95 and at around 900 to 1300 RPM is dosent feel like its hitting evenly. A pump shop checked it out and said OF valve which Ive done to some help, then a possible injector, or possibly uneven fuel delivery per the IP. Ive been driving mine like this for 15K so far. also have you checked the valve clearances? if its a constant definate miss this could be the culprit also.
BTW, my woman can drive a stick, and will NOT drive anything but a truck or jeep or her motorcycle. So back off dudes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alsone can be had by Marty Thompkins whom is a advertiser here for about $35. Just cant remember the contact info

Low fuel pressure from a bad overflow valve will cause a miss but will also stumble and smoke white if you goose the throttle while cruising at highway speed.

Tex-Dont give up on something you've worked so long for. If you quit, you will never see it happen.

I am pretty proud of her, but I'm not showin out too much. It aint braggin, if you can back it up.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll search a little more and see what I can dig up. I believe I'll set the overhead tomorrow, get an OF on the way, and go from there. I've already cracked injectors and they all are ok(well, each one, when loosened make the truck DEAD miss anyway)
