Re:NEW TOY NEW TOY NEW TOY!!!!!!!!

Hey PW440. I have a 78 dodge that I want to rebuild here someday. I was wandering if you new where a bed was for this truck, and maybe a drivers side door. The ones that are on it are close to shot but the cab is in fair condition for what it has been through. it is a 4x4 4spd 360 police engine. It has the nice leather bucket seats. and cab lights. I hope to put a lift on it and drive it around to Pi$$ off all the ford and chevy boys. Thanks
DM01

Re:NEW TOY NEW TOY NEW TOY!!!!!!!!

I love the old trucks. I have two 78 dodge trucks. One is a 1/2 ton the other a HD 3/4. Boy would I love to see that guys Mopar heaven. I mean junk yard . I have an old dodge 600 in my barn right now that needs restoreing. I think it is a early 60's model but could be late 50's also. Had it given to me from my uncle. If you know anybody that needs parts to older dodges he has many dodge 300-600 and an old 48 model mack big rig. and two 52 stepside slant 6 1/2 tons that are in great shape powertrain wise.
DM01

The price was definately right and we could have worked a deal but I called the DMV and my insurance company and that blew the deal. There was $750 dollar fee to the DMV just because (federal for something), then the liscense would run anywhere from $26 (twenty six dollars) to $3200 a year, and insurance would have to write a commercial policy which could be as much as $600 or more every six months. I was already looking for parts like door seals and stuff when that happened. Got two 318's here at the house I could have droped in also in case that one was bad. I told them all it was is a toy for playing and they said they didn't care, it was the class of the truck. Needless to say, that scratched the plans. That would have been a sweet week end driver toy for sure. Wonder is I could liscense it in Mo.????? I would still love to have an old flat fender power wagon though.

Re:NEW TOY NEW TOY NEW TOY!!!!!!!!

Man, I was excited about that deal and he wanted the JD 60 I got now. Those fees were way out of line I thought. I guess they thought with that 5'th wheel, I would put it on the road in business. Yeah right.

Couldn't convince them to get a "Historic", or "Classic" registration?

Re:NEW TOY NEW TOY NEW TOY!!!!!!!!

NOPE, tried that to. The D500 and the fifth wheel killed it.
