Installed 3K GSK and now RPMs drop real low when I let off pedal.
GSK works great, except when i am standing still and rev the motor, the RPMs drop way off when I let off. Like 400-500, it almost dies. It idles at 900 or so. OR if Im running down the road, and push in the clutch, the RPMs drop off again. It runs fine otherwise. Retainer nut too loose?
GSK wasn't that hard to do, should have done it sooner.

Seems to always happen on 215 pumps....
I have the same issue on my 95 5sp. What works for me was to loosen the GSK nuts a couple click or two which should move the "idle bounce" lower. Your idle should also be lower now. Adjust it back up to 800 - 900. Other then when temps are below freezing you should not have the bounce.
In my case the standard measurement (.40??) had the bounce around 700 rpms...a rpm that I would also feel with starting and shifting. I loosen a click which is has the nuts very loose (almost feels like they are going not stay ...but they do). The measurement was around .30. I only get the bouce now when doing a cold start (below 10). Once warm or temps above freezing I never notice the bounce.
Did you pull your big spring out and notice a very thin washer under the big spring (idle spring that stays in)? I have one and I wonder if either it needs to be thicker....move the big idle spring father out or remove it...move the move the idle spring closer to the 3 GSK spring pack.

I pulled big spring out and did not notice a washer. I will try to loosen the nuts a click and try that. It is getting worse. It is dying now, it is also COLD here. Well below freezing.
It took A LOT of warming up, 20 miles, to warm it up to keep from dropping off real far. Still dips just a bit. Any thing I should do, I don't want the retainer nuts to come loose if I adjust them. I think one may have been too tight, it was the first one I did. May have had trouble measuring.
My truck has the idle bounce as well.
Is there a detailed "How-To" Article on how to Install/Adjust the Govenor Springs ???

I called PDR and they said that I must have lost a shim on the BIG spring, because I took it out. But , I never found a shim when I took it out. I only took out one side, because I couldn't get some springs out, so I carefully took out the whole thing and put pack in the big spring. They said, I'm out of luck and pump is Really messed up now. He kept telling me to put the shim back in, BUT I didn't find a shim to put back in. So HOW CAN I. He didn't understand. I'll go back in to measure the nut to stud again and try that.
