Injector question

Ok, so I'm in the middle of pretty much replacing my entire fuel system(except the injector pump), and I'm trying to figure out what injectors I should buy. I'm looking to try to squeeze out a little more power, without really doing anything too drastic. I already have a #6 plate and a 3k gsk, with an upgraded tranny. Any advice? I really don't want to play around with my timing or anything, but I'm really not sure where to get started.

I recommend 215 injectors, but you are cheating yourself to not step the timeing up to 15 - 16 degrees. Your wallet will thank you.

Do you have an EGT gauge or are you going to buy one after a meltdown ??

If you really think you need more fuel/heat i really the the bosch 300hp ones in my 94 with 17 degrees of timing.

Now how exactly do youadjust timing on a diesel? I've timed gassers before, but I have no idea where to start on my truck.

I've been looking at the ddp +50 or +75 injectors. Will either of these really mess with my egt's? I know my tranny can take the extra hp, (I had it built) but I don't want to mess anything up on my truck; I'm already spending quite a bit of money. I'm also putting in an egt guage, just to be on the safe side.

DDP has two sets of injectors shown on their site, the cheaper set of injectors says that the nozzle pop pressure has to be set, the other injectors doesn't say anything about setting the nozzle pop pressure.

I was considering getting these injectors too until I came across this information. What is the nozzle pop pressure? Is that something that any one can do or do you have to take it to a shop?

Would I have to do that since I have the 215hp pump?

The cheaper 'injectors' that you are talking about are just nozzles that get put on your old bodies. Either you can install them or a shop, but you will need a shop to set the pressures unless you have the test equipment at home.

The other set is the full injector, ready to drop in. Send in your cores for refund.
