if you mean CP3 pump solenoid , yes you can buy them seperately, just go to Cummins with your serial number. Nevermind , I see mention 95

There was someone on here a few weeks ago that had a part # for one that would bolt up but you just had to change the plug. I think it was $65 or so instead of $200

If its the shutdown solenoid, take it apart and clean/lube it. then try the relay. These are reliable units, rarely go bad. You can replace it seperately, easy job, tell the dealer he needs a mask and gun!!!!!!

The solenoid is available. The dealer can get you one but you'll pay more than $350 for it ..... they are available for less than $200 ..... call me

As Racer said take it apart and clean. You may have to replace the rubber boot if it's falling apart.
The solenoid is the single most often needlessly replaced part on a 12 valve. The dealer loves to replace them when throwing parts at a problem. Unless the solenoid is visibly burnt up on the outside the problem lies elsewhere.

Bill is correct! But I have seen them toasted and you'd never know it from the outside ....

if your bolt spacing is 2.5" apart, i am told that bobcat # 6681513 will work if you change the plug.

thanks everyone, it is the one on the back of the injector pump, top side three wire plug, red/white/black
the top is melted at the plug
$2700 was for the entire assembly
if you pull it up manually it works fine so we'll see if fixing this one works first
many many miles on the truck and this is the first real problem other than the wires burning up so we'll see
Thanks again yall

I have one off of some sort of kubota engine , appears identicle , except the rod is slgihtly shorter , but it can be threaded out to the same length.

CIH also used a very similar solonoid on the 7100 series tractors , and in the 6 cylinder MX series tractors.
