ok so i have 96 with a auto in it and i have found a getrag for a 2wd for near free. i have looked hi and low in alaska and cant find anyother manual for my truck so is it possible to adapt that 2wd getrag to my transfer case in my 96 thanks

You would need to change the flywheel housing, starter to a 1st gen setup and change the main shaft and tail housing on the G-rag. Spline count on the G-rag is 29spline output not sure about your 241 the manual version is 29 and will bolt right up but the auto may be less ( 23 spline on the older 1st gen trucks with an auto) Save your self some hasle and time and just get a NV4500 and it will all bolt up and is a much better trans. I had a Grag and it was junk, There is usualy a reason why someone is giving things away ( there junk). Buy a good valve body and TC and your auto will be nice.
