After owning a mildly warmed 02 HO for the last year and 40k miles. Edge comp wire tapped and a hybrid turbo, i still wasnt happy with the response nor the way it drove/towed, much happier now with my temporarily stock 98 QC 215 hp truck over the chipped 02 ho. the 98 had 137k miles on it when i bought it didnt bat an eye paid 13500 best money i ever spent.

Hey guys, newbie here kinda following threads and reading up and learning as much as I can. I guess I really lucked out when I found the truck I was looking for, sounds like it's pretty desirable. I bought a '98 12v Quad cab 5 speed 4x4 with 99K miles on it. It also had color matched canopy and Warn bumper/XD9000i winch. I paid $15,960 for it.

Avanteone....... Those 98 12 valves aren't what they are cracked up to be. What you need is a 99 24 valve... I just happen to have one and I'd be willing to swap trucks with you...

I'm sure I saw it on there somewhere, go to www.nwbombers.com , you might have to look around for awhile but it's on there.

Might actually want to check out state laws with regard to the age of engines in vechiles. Can't remeber where I saw it, but could easily be searched on a state web page, however in Illinois it's against the law to put an older-model-year engine into a vechile than the actual production year of the vechile. Giving you SLIGHT problems with resale!

Exactly....if I went to the cost and trouble of dropping a 12V in a 24V truck or doing a P-pump conversion - you can bet Im gonna be buried in that thing....
