converting to 12 valve

Has anyone here actually swapped the 24 valve engine out of a truck and put in a 12 valve? I've seen a couple posts about the possibility of doing this, but I was wondering if anyone has actually ever done this. I'd like some info on this straight from the horses mouth... How hard is it? What does it cost? What problems came up? Things of that nature...

Im sure its been done...and likely by someone here....probably dont want to reveal any secrets....

Im sure there are a few small things that may cause problems - cruise control etc.

Anyone??

I'd love to have a quad cab, rear disk, 6sp truck and swap a 12v in it...

I'd think getting a 98 12V and putting some EGR rear discs and swapping out the NV4500 would be easier. No wiring or computer issues to deal with.
