Dodge part, price is reasonable. You won't have to sell the farm.

It takes an hour to change, with regular tools. I think I paid $200 or $300 for the unit, and it was very simple to change. In fact, I changed it in the Dodge Dealership's parking lot, after being quoted $600 installed.

just looked under my dash and saw that the major bracket that hangs the clutch pedal itself and mounts on the firewall surrounding the clutch rod and the brake rod has a crack clean through right next to where the clutch cylinder mounts

any info or help greatly apreciated

Nobody said they were well built. They are sealed units, cannot be bled, and are completely made of plastic. You might be able to repair the plastic, so long as it doesn't effect the seal of the system.

Sorry to hear that, can you fabricate plate to reinforce it? Welding it would be costly since dash and carpet would have to come out. Just to pull dash we charge 8 hours not including carpet removal. Then body shop welding would take a few hours, total could run up to $1500 or more. Then cost of slave cylinder install. If plate can be bolted in might be cheaper route to go.
