Does your fade work?

I have the 6 cd changer with infinity and my speaker fade doesn't seem to work right. When I go all the way forward I hear the front speakers good, then when I go all the way to the rear speakers I still just hear the fronts and if I open the back door I can hear music in the rear speakers. Any ideas? Thanks.

i don't know if the tweeters on the dash are connected to the fader...??? if they are not, all it will do is fade back/forth between the door speakers...

I have the same sound system you do and I just went out to check the fade. When I fade to back the sound goes to the back and there is little if any sound in the front and vice versa. I'd say you have some crossed wires somewhere.

Did you try adjusting the balance left/right/center?

Yep I tried everything and the balance works fine just not fade. I tried again this morning just to make sure I was remembering right. Thanks handymantim for checking.

Mine works like handymantim's. I have it set for just a little more coming from the back speakers than the front and it sounds nice.

There is a TSB out for crossed wires in the header that plugs into the head unit. The TSB shows which wires are involved, and from what I've read the radio pops out with little effort. Since you are still in warranty, I would take it in. I thought I needed the TSB. Took two trips, but they replaced the tweeters in the dash which fixed my problem. I didn't have the fader problem though, my sound was muddy and I could not use any bass at all without distortion. Fader works fine here.
