Ok, first thing first, are you able to prime the IP with the button on the lift pump?

If not, then you likely have a rotted line.... What part of the country are you in?

Sorry I haven't been back on here my pc at home died. Couple of guys told me I should invest in an aftermarket electric fuel pump dual filter system I agree. Does anyone have a good experience with a certain brand? My guess is to replace fuel lines and install a fuel pump system and drive it another 300, 000 miles! !! Thanks for any help. Don't forget to check your tank pickup. They do break or get gooped up.

Sorry, I see absolutely zero reason for removing a stone cold reliable mechanical pump that will support up to 600 Hp with an electronic unit, none of which seem to last as long as our piston pumps do................. I say, replace the lines from the tank all the way to the engine with diesel rated rubber, make sure your module steel lines aren't rotted, and drive in peace......not worrying your fancy electric pump is going to die and leave you by the side of the road.

First off where are you checking for fuel pressure?? No fuel at the injectors or at the fuel supply line to the injection pump? Are you sure the fuel solenoid valve is lifting up if no fuel pressure at the injectors? If no fuel at injection pump did you clean the screen in the preheater?

Fuel lines are sucking wind. The braided lines that go over the transmission bell housing begin to leak inside the braid and at the connectors. Best fix is to run new marine grade diesel lines from the tank to the engine. I have just replace the lines from the hard lines on the frame up but the lines from the tank to the frame leak too. Even if it's not the sole problem, it's a must do for your CTD. You can hear a ticking sound in between the cab and bed and if you lay under the truck the braided lines will pulse and sometimes you'll see moisture around them. While you're at it change the overflow valve if you already haven't. Also make sure you're fuel shutoff valve is working properly, might check that first. Order a new one with the overflow from Larry B's. Good luck.
