I'm getting 60lb Cummins valve springs... stupid questions.

Well i havent done much with my truck so i figured i'd like the old lady off easy and get me valve springs. I like to know what im getting into before i do anything so im going to double check some things that im not positive on. I'd like to thank bc847 for having a good write up on this so i have something to follow also.

1. The 3916691 (60lb) springs are intake and exhaust interchangeable right? I was pretty sure on this but figured id ask before i got it all tore apart.

2. Stock retainers and locks work with the 3916691 springs even though they are beehive shape springs?

3. Are you supposed to smack the valve stem when everything's put back together to make sure things are seated properly?

4. Why does Scheid's online store want to charge me 130 dollars to ship valve springs 100 miles?

5. Are you sick of me starting new threads yet?

Smack the stems while the piston's still at TDC so's you don't go loosin' a valve!

Also, make sure to look out for the quantity in some kits. Some companies will sell them in sets of 6 for those running exhaust brakes. If you run into that, of course you'll need 2 sets.
