So I've installed boost and pyro gauges.....
Ive installed a boost gauge and a pyrometer. The pyrometer is fairly straight forward as to the information I wanted, but what is the boost gauge telling me? How do I increase boost or do I even want to? I was a little surprised at how low it is reading at cruise speeds, but searching the forum it appears it is close to what others have seen.
At WOT I get right at 20 psi boost and 1000* on the pyro. Going up a long steep grade at 75 MPH I was holding 10 psi and 1000*
At 65 MPH on fairly flat ground I get about 2 psi boost and 650* on the pyro.

Those are stock numbers right there.
The 20 PSI at WOT is actually on the higher end of stock #s.

If you increase fuel you will increase boost. With a stock turbo if you get over 30 or 35 PSI you will just be blowing hot air into the intake. If you get really carried away with fuel/boost then you need to do head studs etc to preserve the head gasket. I'm sure someone else will be able to tell you when you need to worry about this.
