injector problems?

well the truck here recently just started having the long crank issues. its spinning fast just taking a while to start up, now the son of gun wont fire. No fuel in the oil, have fuel in the filter, she just wont hit. Im feared that this is a bad injector or few. What do you all think? Thanks in advance for the help.

sounds like one or more of the injecters are bleeding fuel back and will not let the system build pressure

All of Don's dealers are fine.

No matter which injectors you get.....you need to filter your fuel better. I don't see anything in your sig...but the stock fuel filter is not enough. I'd suggest a filter head mounted with a CAT 2 micron filter somewhere after your stock filter and before the CP3. It will help save your injectors in the future.

It is likely the injector but have you checked the fuel pressure from the lift pump?

clean fuel is better for the injectors but not the only way to kill injectors. I have a 20 micron pre-pump filter, the factory fuel filter and water seperator and then a 2 micron fuel filter and a second water seperater and I still cracked a body last month. No programmer or pressure box

I think you would be seeing some smoke if an injector went bad. If you still have the filter canister mounted lift pump, it is dieing or dead. My original lift pump lasted 81900 without any programmers or chips.

I would check the lift pump first. I had an 02 that did the same thing and it was the lift pump.

Had an 04 AND 04.5 do the exact same thing, both were bad filter mounted LPs. I didn't think 04.5s still had them, but some do.

when my lp went out on my 03 the truck would not run at all. injectors can go bad without smoke they just let the fuel pass back to the tank. gone thru 3 sets on the 03 seen it all

Throwing it out there also. . . Injection pump. Mine started to do the same thing and then just stopped one day. I would test the pressures before Inj pump and the rail to see what is happening before throwing a good chunk of coin at something and it not fixing it!

well i was having hot start problems as well, when the engine was cold she would usually fire right up but when warm it would crank long and gradually got worse and i have a little bit of white smoke at start up. also when it was running it ran fine, no noticeable loss of power.
