Leaky Seal on Injecter pump??

Hey Guy's saw a bit of diesel on the ground under the truck today so I went and investigated and found what appears to be a wet plug with a conector comming from the harness going to it. The plug is at the lower rear of the pump. Is there a seal in that plug? Can this be fixed? I hope I don't have to come up with big dough for the repair....
Thanks

that's probably the cam sensor and getting wet from the cp3 above, my last two cr trucks have done this when temps get cold

If what you are talking about is attached to the lower rear of the fuel pump (CP3), it sounds like the FCA. Someone here can help you there, or you can do a search. Someone shows how to pull and modify the FCA so there should be some good info there.

Hmm so thats the FCA. Are the Orings replacable? The temps have fallen as of late this Am was 7! I need to get this fixed and quick,I live a long way from work and have to be there no matter how bad the weather. What do you all suggest? Is there a place I can get new O- rings? Or should I simply replace the FCA?
Thanks much!

Yea looks like the o-ring on the Fca is leaking,do these things ever loosen up? Or is it the cold like you stated? The truck is fairly stock with the exception of the Smarty and gauges I will be putting a charger on soon so I'm thinking instead of just replacing the stock Fca should I just do the bag of parts? Will that harm the somewhat stock truck??

I'd make sure what you're looking at first is in fact the FCA, if so I'd throw a bag of parts at it before I bought another stock FCA.

I don't know if they ever loosen up or not, and I don't have torque specs. Here is a link to some pics of an FCA and how some folks modded it. It will give you an idea of what you are looking at. Also, MikeyB replaced his leaky o-rings and you can find his post here. You might ask him about torque specs.

Without a doubt I will determin exactly what the component is that is leaking before I spend a dime. I don't have much experiance with the CR engine but have wrenched for years on all sorts of vehicals including my old 12v. I have to agree with throwing a bag of parts at it because Imho an opertunity to pick up Hp with a repair job is an opertunity I dont want to miss out on by using a stock part! Also I no not very optimistic about fixing a leaky part, with my luck I do all the work and the part will stop functioning the next day... I do have some concerns about running a modded Cp3 with out many other performance upgrades. Can this sort of mod hurt the cp3 in any way??

Thanks for the info FB. Thats whats leaking without a doubt! Honestly if I could go to the Local Napa and get those O- rings I might just give it a try but unless someone knows the correct sizes hands down I am going with a new part or parts...

Thanks
