Giddings is currently under a flash flood warning.

I was considering it before. I considered it last year but I couldn't get the days off I wanted at my station. But yes, she definately made me want to get off of evenings for sure. I might have decided to go one more year of evenings and make the switch next year otherwise. I studied going to the overnight shift pretty hard too...11P-7A. More $. But that can wear you out too....so in the end I think this 10A-6P is good all around compromise.

There is hope for me that 1 guy in front of me will be going back to traffic as a Motor Jockey. He took one of the SS spots....which would most likely allow me to move over to his spot when/if he leaves.

I will have to deal with more traffic.......but not as bad as trying to work 8A-4P. Prob more of a headache in the evening though as most people should be where they want to be by 9am.....when I would be hitting the road to drive in. It's all one big compromise huh? I prob "fret" over stuff like this more than most. It's just my nature...

Wow, no one is talking about Saturday? It would have been nice if they could have setup their rpm eye so we could have had a torque reading, but ah well. Now that I think about it from what I have seen on results from that dyno I think using a formula I found actually works. The formula doesn't match other dyno's I've been on though. I want to say it is HP X 5252 / Peak HP RPM.

Who want to talk about Saturday?
Not me....who could not get over 550 hp due to another problem with H2O/Meth (like last time at Bully Dog).
And I'm sure Tyler does not want to talk.... his best was 345 hp!

But Jim Jones did 991hp (tires slipping on the rollers) with his rebuilt Duramax (same one that ran 10.72 sec at Crandall). Drove his D-max to the dyno and back home too!
There were a couple in the 800's and 3-4 in the 700's.

And Buck did not disappoint. Blew the compressor blades out of his turbo on a burn out...after dynoing!! PIC here .... on comp Diesel,

Funny Tyler told me 385.
And Max I did 443 where best I had done before was 400 with the old setup, but the problem is there was a Smarty Jr on 100hp added to this. On just the Jr alone I did 316 which is only a 50hp gain over what I usually do at 266, however the last time I did a baseline run on that dyno I read at 275, so who knows.

Sorry I missed the dyno. Well, actually im not.. But sorry I missed the fun with friends at the loc.

I had to suffer through another trip to Arkansas for some RVing and ATVing. The Ouachita Mtns I tell ya are beautiful. The colors were changing just perfect. The rocky trails, the streams, the boulders the size of houses were magnificent. God has created some beautiful country and I can tell you some of it is in Arkansas. If you get the opportunity to go riding up that way, you need to go.

I rode Wolfe Pen Gap last year and it was amazing. Tons of fun. Were exactly did yall go ride. When we were at WPG they were making a big deal about the water crossings. Some trails were closed so they could do bridges and told us we would be fined if caught in the water with out 4wheelers. Kind of put a damper on the fun.

We went to a place north of Mena.....near "Y"-City called Fourshe Mountain. It's just a few miles east of "Y"-City on Highway 270. It's part of the Ouachita MTN range and National Forest. We just boondocked (camped w/o hookups) using the gen for power and water we brought along. You can camp in the National Forests for up to 2 weeks w/o moving and of course it's free of charge. The only expense on the trip was fuel. (well food too, but we would have had to eat at home soo...)

I have been to Wolf Pen a number of times but don't recall any problem with a water crossing there. There is not near as much water there period as Fourshe Mtn. The trails take you to the water and they continue through it to the other side. There are hundreds of clear natural little pools formed by the streams that you could swim in and relax in if you are so inclined.....perhaps in July or August...when it's warm outside.

Dtech turbo arrived today, any install tips? and what do the exhaust manifold bolts get torqued to? Instructions say to torque the turbo flange bolts to 30ft. lbs. pour a 1-3 tspoons of oil into the turbo to prime it. and to drive easy for 150 miles. Smarty is already turned to stock. anything else? exhuast manifold gaskets reusable?

Many reuse manifold gaskets...but I wouldn't. Lots of extra work if it leaks (maybe 20% chance).

Torque it tight! Work your way up...and from center out.
Turbo @ 30 ft-lb sounds 'weak', but up to you. I do them tight also!! (Never had one I could get a TQ wrench onto all four bolts anyway).

Well, sorry I missed all the excitement at the dyno. I just hope that Tyler can hit 500 after the P-pump, otherwise we will be witnessing a small explosion to our south. LOL!

I managed to get all the fencing work done about 15 minutes before it starting raining again and dumped another couple of inches. It's a welcome change, the last time I was digging post holes I had to add water to soften the ground up. This time the holes filled with water themselves after being dug.

Made it back to the house yesterday to find a clogged kitchen sink drain that had to be cleared, which lead to the discovery of a leaking kitchen sink faucet. Why couldn't these issues just wait 30 more days till we're out of here??

OK, I think the house is mad we're selling it. The kitchen sink faucet and drain are all back operational, but when we came home this evening the wires from garage door opener to the sensors fell down and almost got caught up in the door as it was closing.

I think it may be time to move out or not touch anything else till the day of closing...
