Stiff competition but you have both beat on performance ..... and appearance, IMO.

Max - Sorry but you would not have qualified!
For the "Texified" TOM.... displaced Texans don't count

Before I realized Austin was in the running, I nominated XLR8R's Grey Monster! Also rejected due to factory front end! Aparently the management thinks all TX CTD's have big Ranch Hand front bumpers. Even yours might not have been big enough to qualify.

Talking

Twin Turbos are in PROGRESS!!!! I started the process of getting parts for some twins. It will probably be drawn out over the next 4 or 5 months. Ive got some parts for the pipes on the way and started looking for a used or good deal on a 3 piece manifold. I know I don't have enough fuel yet but I plan on adding an EZ and some 120hp injectors in the future. I'll keep yall updated on the progress.

Common misconception, IMO. You have enough fuel for twins. Just don't really need tham till you get more!

Exactly, I should have twins on the truck before I have any more fuel and I'm not worried about spooling them.

was talking with " Big Blue" on another forum and he got word of my quest to 500-550 hp. and I think he was giving me bogus information on what to buy to throw me off track and try and keep my numbers down low near his. . . .

I'll show him. . haha.

Thanks for reading me the info off the 55 gal Drum. That 320 number was the ISO (european viscosity) number. Those wind generating turbines use a 'Gear Oil'..... which is like a Gear Lube, but a special formula for equpt. with internal copper, bronze or brass parts. Just what I needed to know.

Looks like Austin has a big lead in the TOM Contest. That should make the 3rd or 4th DTR N.TX#8 group truck to win TOM!

Added Tow Hooks this weekend. Not the 'weak' 5,000 lb hooks that MoparParts sells, but less expensive, and stronger (10,000 lb) hooks, from Tractor Supply. Almost can't wait to get stuck. Thanks to LazarSmith for designing/welding a bracket to hold them........

Looks good RJ!

Best of luck Austin. Im sure you will get it. Don't be expecting a TOM plaque anytime soon though. Im still waiting for mine since Dec. 08! Lary keeps ordering and they keep sending him junk and he sends them back and reorders......and reorders......and reorders.

No it's no joke. He HAS had problems with his orders. But where I blame Lary is he won't make it priority and get it done. If he is overwhelmed then somebody else should order them for him.......... I even volunteered to do it for him and he declined...citing about the money etc.....which I understand.

I can could go down to a local trophy shop and have those things ordered and back in, im guessing, less than 2 or 3 weeks. Then have them shipped out to their respective winners.

I pm'd him about them a while back (August)...for like the 2nd or 3rd time...including Jack and Wannadiesel........and they said they would get right on it and get back with me.....but I have heard nothing. Im tired of asking about them. Kinda hard to feel like a winner when I have to keep bothering them about it.

Rick....why don't you give it a try?
