Merry Christmas Rick! Hang in there and have faith! IT will get better.

And, Merry Christmas to everybody else here in DTR #8 in particular and DTR in general!

This is definately my best Christmas ever! The Lord has blessed me with Jana, a new family, and is actually turning my big empty batchelor house into a home. My son Jared is considering moving in permanently and going to the HS behind my house.

Merry Christmas to all!

Let the traveling commence. Giddings today, Durant tomorrow, Houston on Saturday, Giddings on Monday, then back home to finish unpacking.

Yep I would say it has, Matt! Thanks! We are even working now on getting Jana's cat acclimated to the house and my other 2 worthless cats.. So far so good.

We don't get Jana's daughter until the 26th, so our Christmas is being delayed by a day....but no biggie.

Looks like the "Schoolbus" is engaged now as well! So congrats Scott!

Merry Christmas!

Hope Santa was good to everyone. Didn't get the 2010 under the tree, maybe for Valentine's day

Merry Christmas all

I owe an apology to Mike and You both. I haven't been able to get on here in awhile. I had plans with Scott to convoy over there and have a good time with you guys, then head northeast back home, Clarksville, TX. That's about as far as anything went, was plans. I sold my 62 off my truck and had planned on having a replacement in the two weeks my truck was down. I was unable to find what I was looking for, but have Engineered Diesel working on one to get sent to me now. The night before the meet-up, I started trying to put my stock turbo on. I got the turbo mounted to the manifold and oil lines on, to be able to throw in the next morning and head yalls way. I ended up working until 12:30 a.m. the next morning, trying to get the stock turbo installed. I've done this numerous times, but recently I put a stack on my truck, we welded up all the piping, so when I went to install the stocker, I found out that there is quite a difference in length between it and the 62. I had about a 6 inch gap between the turbo, and the down pipe elbow! My buddy with a welder was out of town, and I was doing everything to avoid cutting my exhaust to pieces. After working all that time, a simple fix was sitting right in front of my eyes, and after that the install went perfect. This was also Scott's reasoning for not attending. He was "helping" (aka: handing some wrenches lol) with the install. I do awe both of you an apology though for not making it when I gave Mike a for sure answer that yes I would be attending. Hope you guys understand what all went on. Mike, I will give you a call and I will get that shifter of mine sent to you when all the holidays clear up. I hope to not have cause either of yall much trouble, but thanks for the attempt to make the swap easier on me. I WILL make one of these soon for sure. Hate I had to miss out.

No worries Blake - we're all to familiar with the Way of the Wrench... glad you got your truck running for the trip home.

Mrs. $anta was very nice to me this year - what I figured was a 41lb lump of coal turned out to be an HP Touch-Smart wall PC... now I'm off to don a Tom Cruise mask & go play Minority Report.

Santa was good to me this year.. no truck goodies, but I got other things I "needed" I can't wait until next year and I have a lot more $$ and can be a better Santa.

Got to see a lot of family and friends though. I think that's been the best part, also being apart of a Texas white Christmas.

My poor Mom and Step dad got stuck in that N HWY287 mess on the 24th though. took them 22 hours to make it home. I wish they stayed But they had hunters coming into camp late on the 25th.

I AM Santa! Wait until you get older with kids and grand kids and a wife that thinks she's Mrs Santa, then you'll know what I mean.

Bah-Humbug!
Christmas is fun but...sounds like I'm not the only one who is glad it's over!
As usually, had to buy myself, the one thing I needed....a new Carhartt Jacket.
Snow was fun, since I wasn't traveling! Sorry for those that were.

We're officially closed all week so I rotated my tires in the cold, yesterday and found a fluid leak in the right rear caliper (maybe?). Not the brake line and not the axle so..... what else could it be? But not loosing brake fluid????? Can't remember having to add any. Maybe a tiny bit 3-4 months ago to top off.
Any ideas?

RJ

I know what ya mean, Charlie - had to take the truck down to Collin County for our family Christmas, cause my grand daughter's gifts wouldn't fit in Mrs. $anta's sleigh!

Prob'ly brake fluid, RJ - a little goes a long way... either from the bleed screw or piston seal.
