Sorta.....just think of the p-pump like a small engine more or less......it has a crank shaft, pistons, and such........and it has to take mechanical input from the geartrain (Like the VP) to do its job. BUT unlike the VP-44...the P-Pump is purely mechanical....not a Hybrid like the VP.

The delevery valves are like a restrictor plate for the injectors...they limit or allow a certian amt of flow comming from the P-pump.....and are located direct on top of the pump...real easy access.......

O yeah...brian....i have a brand new, never used (Other than the pump gear puller) Blue-Point 12 Valve Timing Set that you might find useful......ill take a loss on it if you are intersted.....

Appreciate the offer, but I have a brand new Miller timing kit that I used...
Snap on and Millers kit is the same except the Snap on kit comes with a gear puller and no barring tool and Millers kit comes with the barring tool and no gear puller Luckly my custom special puller works on the P7100 gear as well!

Sounds like the cost, after parts sale (including the Adrenaline), will work in your favor... but had to be the curiosity factor and a labor of love!
Nobody would go that far just to get rid of an electronic injector pump.

What Plate you running? Expecting more smoke in warmer weather?

Great pics. Looks like the usual (from Brian) top notch job!

RJ
Definitely been curious about the 12V pumps for quite some time, but wasn't ready to give up all the work on my motor and truck to find out! Definitely don't need 2 trucks and a car so maybe this will scratch the itch! ... Plate in there is a stocker for now, probably steal one from Dan...

Right now I have less haze at idle than I did with the Mach 6.5s, but I am expecting more smoke overall

I would love to give that a nice home!

How much of a loss can you take?

Take it to the grinder and make it flat. If you're running an AFC, the lower profile doesn't really matter anyhow.

You are running 7 X .014 injectors. Daniel has 5 X .018.

Educate me, please. I know it's all about cc of fuel flow and I have read that .025 is about max for racing?
What does the first (both actually) numbers mean?

Thanks.......... Good read. No 7 holes listed? Is that a 2nd Gen 12v thingy?

Guess it wasn't till the 24v's that builders realized that 8 holes is optimal?
Maybe 12v's have different piston top configuration.... Brian??
(I'm constantly amazed by how little I know about 12v's)

Daniel's truck ought to have about 15-20% more nominal fuel flow throught the sticks... Brian's truck "should" be more efficient at low & medium RPMs.

Anyways, what's the difference when you're UnderValved?

Yep his should flow about 15% more than mine...
the 7 holes should be a little more efficient...
Different injectors for different uses...

Maybe not optimal.... but maximum.
Don M told me he had tested up to 11 holes and found anything more than 8 was counter productive. (maybe just no more productive?)

I've been saying this would happen since early last season... don't worry though - no doubt they've already applied for a bailout with our $$$. Hey, Big Diesel is too big to fail, right?
