What's going on?

I've been off the board for a while....just got back from New Orleans and Florida with the family.

Anyone else had their door lock switch fall out of it's bezel?
Mine did, on passenger side. My passenger went too open the window and the switch just fell into the door interior. (see pic).
I'm guessing it's from dogs tending to stand on the arm rest on that side?

Just wondering if I can get the fixture out without removing the door interior panel.

The whole bezel can be removed without pulling the door panel. There are little spring clips at the front and back of the bezel. You should be able to pry either end up to pop the bezel out, then you can see whether you can fish the switch out or not.

Thanks - I need all the health I can get in this African heat... the temps & schedule are pretty draining.

Got surprised by a nast divorce petition a few days before I left for Power Tour - a real Pearl Harbor sneak attack... amazing how someone can make a promise & commitment before God, family & friends only to renege on it so callously.

Mike,
Hate to see you have to give up the shop.... just when It was close to done!
Don't be shy, give a call on moving day! Maybe we can make it a work GTG!

Thanks Justin. Found out can go through the door "pull cup" to get to the spring clips. Prevent possibility of breaking the bezel!
Saturdays project....along with changing out differential fluids.

This cloud has quite a silver lining - after only 16 months of operation at this place, we've already outgrown the current shop... so I'm looking for a much larger replacement.

Looking forward to the move & new roots!

Are you going to try to get a little closer to "the city".

I know that some of you will be glad to know that my body chemistry has apparently change. I was getting a gate out of the tall weeds behind the barn and actually got a few chigger bites! I guess they do exist.
