I have the die hard platinums on my truck and love them. They are supposedly made by odyssey and have a really good warranty.

My factory batt's lasted until about 205K

well on my road trip/move to Iowa the water pump came apart just west of Lincoln, NE. the ol goat left me stranded on the side of the road for just under 3 hours... I was not a happy camper. That pump was only about 40K old! A spare WP will be in the tool box on the next journey.

That sucks! Hopefully you made it the rest of the way OK. How do you like it up there? Out in the middle of nowhere again?

They rest of the way went great. avg. mpg of 14.19 dragging the little toy box.

Manchester IA is looking much much better than Kimball, NE. and the wind farm is only 10 miles North of town so the commute will be great. I am currently in Green Bay, WI. Doing a little training on the new model of machine. I like this area in the summer time. A little humid but it's not 100+ like it is there

O I guess I didn't mention when the pump came apart it lodged pieces of the fins in the water jacket that I had to dig out. that took a while...

I wish I was up there! We forgot to have spring here! It went straight into Summer..........100+ every day for about a week now. It gets old, real quick!

Plus, we haven't had much rain.....so this is going to be a brutal summer. High A/C bills, High water bills,.........and the grass is already turning brown as you look across the North Texas prairie. Im sure Charlie is loving it though. Not me!

I'm glad it's that little bit cooler up here - sure helps to see we're on the good side of triple digits.

Just stay in the cruiser, with the air on...... and eat your donuts!
Bet you wish you were back on nights for the summer?

A/C does stay on and blowing cold as much as possible!...

Haven't been eating the donuts to hard. Actually, 6-6-11 (D-Day) I stopped completely drinking sodas. No more coca cola for me. I just don't need the sugar and empty calories. Mostly, I just drink water now or an occasional tea or beer. I thought it was going to be a lot tougher to cut out the sodas that it really has been. It's been fairly easy to my amazement!

Good for you - high-fructose corn syrup just ain't healthy - I quit drinking soda with it several years back & really enjoyed it's absence... that's a wagon I need to ride again!

With enough Crown or Jack in the cola it balances everything out

The balance tips in my favor when I mix them with Throwback sodas...
