truck is broke :(

truck is broke :(

needs a rebuild 2 cylinders have no compression and 2 have half compression do you guys know a good shop around here? i talked to a guy down the flats and he said 6k for the rebuild and 1k for remanufactured injectors or 2k for new ones so in total with new injectors its going to about $7k let me know what you guys think

If you are talking about Mac's, he does great work. There is also Texas Diesel Power in weatherford that does good work, but Im not sure they would be cheaper...I know a guy that had total rebuild done there last summer, Ill try and get ahold of him and see what it cost.

yea filter had a bunch of stuff in it and its a 7 micron filter and injectors are only 3 micron so stuff can get through the filter thats not suppose to get through the injectors and stopped it up

Dang that sucks man, now I'm wanting a 2 micron CAT setup even more. I'm too scared this is gonna happen to mine! I've heard too many goin through this.

just get an airdog, matt is already a pro at putting them on

I don't need one, the cp3 is good for 600-1000hp. I'm just gonna get a rail pressure gauge....do a mod or two to the rail and I'm good.

Automotive Machine in Stephenville will do a good job for a fair price. Pete is a great guy and has done a bunch of these. I dont know if you need to have it R&R'ed or if you are doing it yourself. Pete usually just done machine work, but Glueck's Towing between s'ville and Dublin will do it all and have Pete rebuild it if you need that. Both are good guys and fair.
