Traveling FL -> SC & back, Diesel Prices?

Locally diesel is 2.93/gal. Should I be planning to fuel in GA or SC or max out here?

Thanks in advance.

Check this site out. I have found Flying J to be the least expensive place to get Diesel while traveling. In Fl. I have found cheaper in town. Top off in Ga. before you get in Fl. There is a Flying J at exit 29 in Ga. You save about 10 cents a gallon in Ga. The next Flying J heading south on I-95 is near St Augustine. I have seen that price at times higher than what you can get Diesel at in town.

There is a Hess at exit 1 just before you get cross into Fl. It might be a couple cents higher than the Flying J. Both have RV islands. The way the prices are jumping around it is hard to pin down just how much you will save.

$2.81 is cheap. I saw a high of $2.99 today on the way to work in Charleston. If you need fuel in GA make sure you are nowhere near Atlanta. They are real proud! Usually 10-15 cents higher.

I use Flying J also. Usually the best prices in their respective regions.
Rock Hill, SC has the best prices in the southeast! But that's in the wrong direction, unless you live nearby.

Don't know where you headed, but I've heard Charleston SC has the cheapest in the nation. Last time I ran there, I fueled at WalMart in Viera
and again in GA at exit 21 on the way back to Melbourne.

I run up to the Cape about three times a week when I'm not somewhere in the RV. See the photo section for me. You've seen the truck, I'll bet.

State diesel tax in SD = $0.22
State diesel tax in WY = $0.14

That's a good part of the difference. Transportation cost is the other big factor.

Just got back from Fl to N.Y. and back, with stops in N.C. S.C. & Ga. Best price I saw was Flying J in Columbia S.C., at $2.71per gal cash price. Was $2.91 in Saint Augistine on I-95. "Ironbutt" It was $3.33 in the hudson valley of N.Y. (Sucks to be them).
