I have a 95 drw, ctd with 3.55 gears, 47rh tranny, lock-up converter.
I tow a 36ft 5er that has a gvw of 13000 empty and 17000 max. I have heard conflicting stories about towing in od can anyone help ?

Thanks in advance

I don't think you'll be able to run in OD pulling that load with that truck. It'll just downshift into 3rd I would think, which is where it should be anyway when pulling that much weight/wind drag.

Tow Od

I have a 32ft race trailer witha 10ft slide in camper total load 21500lbs with truck. I put in tst #6 and had a local tranny shop mod my valve body for about 20% more presure. My mpgs went up 1.5 from 10 to 11.5 with this and power much better. I later added the TCI converter to lower stall speed. All is good 20k later.
