Towing with BFG's

I have BFG 315/70/17 tires on my truck. Just ordered a new camp trailer. 12,000lbs loaded. Will these tires work good and handle well with the weight?. Would like to know.

Hi,
I have the same tires on my rig and since putting them on I find the truck drives much better while towing. I also load two ATV's on my deck and I find it much more stable than the stock BFG.
Goodluck

Mine work just fine pulling my 10-12,000lb trailer. The tires don't even squat at all but I do keep them maxed out at 50psi. I'm not sure about longevity as I only tow on occasion....

I have the 315s on my truck, they work great, i drove through mud in 2wd towing my toyhauler which is about 11k lbs no problem and I saw other guys getting stuck with little atv trailers, these tires work great. Ive been in sand also and they get me to places I could not go with the stock tires. I also like the small gearlike change they make, you can go 65 at 1800 rpms insted of a little over 2k rpms

I've been extremely pleased with my BFGs as well. They handle great on the truck, with or without the trailer. My wear has been very even. I have over 10K miles on them and my tread is still 12/32 deep. I should get close to 35K out of them, with a lot of towing miles.

My neighbor has an almost identical 2002 2500 Ram with 285 Goodyear MT/Rs. He has 15K on his tires and has only 6/32 left. It looks like he will only get about 22K out of his tires before they have to be replaced. His tires are much noisier, do not handle as well on packed snow and ice, and I think the BFGs are even better in sand, unless it gets really deep or wet.

I've got over 30,000 miles on mine so far and I'd estimate that I have about 10,000 miles left on them.. Not too bad....
