Shopping for B&W and Airbags

Hey guys,

Just bought a 97 2500 and need to set it up for towing a horse trailer. I'd like to also have the option of easily converting to 5th wheel in the future.

What do you guys think about the B&W Turnover ball with the 5th wheel attachment? Are there any strength/reliability issues with this setup? Is it a easy install?

Also, any suggestions on where to buy them at a good price would be appreciated.

I'm also considering getting airbags for this rig. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Clark

I have firestone airbags on mine and love them. Make sure you can control each bag separately or bad things can happen. Others will disagree with me, but I've seen it first hand.

Love my B&W and Companion.. The best thing I did for my truck. Very easy to install just make sure to measure twice before cutting that hole

Thanks Guys,

I ordered my B&W Turnover Ball on Ebay and it should be here monday! What did you guys use to cut the whole in the bed? A whole saw or a torch?

Next on the list are some airbags!

A hole saw. Cut a piece of 2x6 that fits between the wheel wells on the bed. Position 2x6 over where the center of the hole will be. Mark the center of it, remove the 2x6 and drill the hole in it first. Then use it as a template to keep the drill from wandering/going at an angle.
