RV gutter drains

Anybody have any idea about attaching gutter extensions to prevent the streaks down the side of the RV from each gutter? I have the extensions from Campering World and with much modification can attach them, but then when I install the cover over the RV am afraid that the ends of the extensions will poke holes thru the cover.
Is there some sort of compromise?

Clothes pins, big guy. Plastic clothes pins. Get a color that is unobtrusive and clip them on the end of the gutter. Set them to encourage the water to miss the side of the coach - - works great. Pop them off when you put on the cover.

Now, aren't you glad I came back home??? LOL Hey, you getting wet over there - - looks like lots of rain coming down on you.

Oh wise wizard of know-it-all, thank you. That is a very good idea and will try it. Wish you had given me that idea last week because from the time I spent on the beach last week I now have lots of big brown stains down the side. Think they are from the palm leaves.

...and if you attach a length of plastic chain links to the clothes pins the water will trickle down the chain to where you attach the chain to the ground! Came across that in Italy last year of all places! (on a house no less!)

Here's my little neat trick, drill a small hole in the gutter drain and take fishing line and tie thru the hole and down and around the bumper " depanding on the style of rear clip " the water will flow nicely down the line to the ground. It can be tied to the clothes pin and a weight of choice to the ground and installed when setup ,I seem to loose clothes pins on every trip as I forget to remove them .
Not for everybody but it works.

In my part of the world this is very common, particularly on public buildings.
Now if I can only convince my wife to let me do this, with yellow chain.

Not a bad idea. That could work on the rear gutter, but will not work for the front or the gutters over the slideouts.

After my last trip I ended up with some major brownish streaks only on the RH rear of the fiver that are almost impossible to remove. Still working on them. Suspect they came from a coconut tree I was parked close to.

Remember guys, it's always easier to beg for forgiveness, than ask for permission. Except for me of course.
