Rain gutters

Looking to minimize the dreaded black streaks. Is there such a mini gutter for rv's?

thanks

Re:Rain gutters

My TT has gutters on it. Came with them. They're about 1/2" to 3/4" wide. They run the full length of the trailer on each side and have a little spout at each corner for the water to run out.

Forces all of the water to drip right on one of my marker lights though. > I make sure to check the seal on that light real good every time I hook up the trailer.

Re:Rain gutters

My Arctic Fox came from the factory with gutters. I don't know if they are available as an aftermarket accessory or not.

Re:Rain gutters

thecatsfan:

You can get gutter extensions to make the water drip away from your camper or you can clip a clothes pin on the end of your gutter while you are parked to accomplish the same thing. In response to the original post, I am pretty sure that you can buy aftermarket gutters for a camper, but I can't remember where I saw them. Maybe Camping World?

Re:Rain gutters

Dave,

Clothes pins sound like a really good idea. Think I'm going to have to try that.

Re:Rain gutters

Yep, Thecatsfan is correct, clothes pins work great. Been using them for about 4 months now and they really help.

That was actually Dave's idea, but I will gladly take the credit. ;D

Re:Rain gutters

I saw this suggestion on how to add some from RV.NET. Take white J bend that people use to place on top of windows for plastic siding and glue or tape them on to above the windows or any where you want them for your TT or 5er. Works well for drips and light rain.

Re:Rain gutters

We have been using the wooden clothes pin trick for a few years now it works great. I clip them on and leave them there, call me lazy if you want but that is what I do. I check to make sure I didn't knock any off when we go the camper parked.
It works for me

Re:Rain gutters

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I only just found it, been reading history for a while, having been out of town. Have you ever seen anything like this? I have just ordered a length, very pricey, but if it works!

Re:Rain gutters

A wooden clothes pin, a plastic one will not work. But it sure does help with the black streaks in that area.
