My hay came off Saturday and Sunday. Definitely the best hay in 10 years. Then Mother Nature decided to light us up from 3:00am - 4:30am with a really spectacular electrical storm overnight. What a night.

I haven't watered the lawn all year and still cut it twice a week. The roads out west of Caroline last week were pretty sticky. Lots of standing water.

We went from flooded to very dry in a few weeks.
Had to water the brown grass last night.
mid 30's and high humidity here.
The lakes are still very high.

Enjoy it all, soon...snow.

Yup.. Snow soon enough.. Geeze, you guys just went from one extreme to the other. I may be out there in the first week of August again to see that brown grass, and hopefully the new Science Centre.

I went out and stood at the end of my block that night at 3:30 and watched the storm for 15-20 minutes. No rain, no wind in Airdrie, but the light show was absolutely awesome. I was wondering how my sister in Strathmore was enjoying it. Turns out, they were camping in Carseland in the middle of it. They didn't enjoy it as much as I did.

Tate - Carseland campground is less than a 10 minute drive from Dalemead. I can tell tell you with 100% certainty that they did not enjoy that storm much at all.

We are supposed to reach a high of 11C tomorrow in Calgary. You didn't really just type the 'S' word did you? Even quoting it from someone else's message is about as bad.
