pics? as in evidence? hahaha.... we were helping a guy move his business, in a hurry, didn't want to make 2 trips. I wish I did have pics. It wasn't pretty. The truck rode on the bumpstops for about 80 miles and wouldn't pull it faster than about 60. Sure as hell wouldn't stop.

I don't know, but I'd hate to know what the EGT's looked like. Kind of glad not to have a gauge.

To all you newbies wondering how to break in your Cummins engine......here ya go! Just hook on to 43K pounds and pull it to Alaska!! That will help seat your piston rings!

I would like to know how you got passed the scale man. That is a lot of miles and a lot of scales. I don't think buying him lunch would be enough.

pulling 43,000

Clayton where on the island are you, pm me. Too bad that you had to get there so fast or a stop at Laird hot springs would be in order. I met someone some years ago going to ???? He had that plastic stretch wrap to sell I think he was 38,000 ???? lbs. there was that hill south of Watson Lake that was very steep with a corner at the bottom of it. Some years ago a picker truck went over the side with a load not very comfortable. That is the kind of load that I would like to be able to haul. Good on you.

This is our all time best ever towing post. I just had to bring it back up. Ridofpwrstroke has become a 3/4 towing legend.

I've shown the pic of his loaded rig to 3 different safety managers. All 3 said they planned to integrate it into their safety lectures.

Sounds like the school wood shop videos from the 70's.

Primitive Pete was the character's name I believe.

I will say this, on the picture the front of the truck was parking up hill so it looks like it is squatting bad. With 100 psi in the airbags, I was completely level. I had them load it so that my rear axle weighed 7500 lbs. With the G rated tires, I wasnt overloaded. Axle from dana is rated for 12,200 lbs. Just have to take your time. As you see in my sig, I finally upgraded to a dually. Havent had to pull anything like that lately. Just the 16,300 lb camper.

I think everybody's main concern was it's ability to stop, not necessarily the truck's ability to pull the load.
