New Shocks

Getting ready to take a trip to the west coast so I installed a set of bilsteins and cannot believe the difference it made in the ride. My co-pilot even noticed the difference. Does anyone have any suggestions as what route to take from Montana on westward. I want to end up in northern California to see the redwoods, if I have the time. Are there any roads I need to watch out for or avoid? I will be pulling my camper and would prefer scenic roads to interstates.
Thanks in advance
Sam

You have a few options to get over here. Depending on what you want to see I'd suggest following the Columbia down through Washington rather than hitting the coast and fighting the traffic.

Then hit Oregon and down on thru. It's all beautiful country.

If you decide to come to the redwoods in NorCal, don't take Hwy 36 from Red bluff to the coast. Tight and one lave at times.

Great advice..... Hwy 36 to the coast is a well known "motorcycle" roadway. So thats gotta tell ya something about how windy it is. Not very conducive for RV's.

299 from Redding to the coast is not my favorite either given the ongoing construction and the long grade pulls, but there isnt any other options for hundreds of miles in either direction. I just try and make sure I'm over the top before the afternoon heat makes it less fun.

Hwy 20 from Grass Valley, CA to Fort Bragg, CA on the coast covers some beautiful terrain and is relatively trailer friendly.
