Ther are three different shocks I keep hearing that people love.

Bilsteins
Ranchos
Edelbrock

My opinion is that they are all good. There are some places to get deals on them. Those that have each of these will swear by them.
Re:Time for new shocks
My vote is for the Edelbrocks (see sig) - no dial to tweak, no compressor to deal with.

Bilsteins I have had on lighter vehicles were always very good and if you tow/haul alot of different weights the Rancho RS900s with in-cab adjust are great.

There you have it - one person, three opinions - still your choice.

BTW - ALL of them are pricey.

I have the RS9000X's on my truck w/ in cab remote... If you going to get the remote system, check out Mark's Custom Stuff for the brass fittings to use instead of the cheap plastic ones that come with the system... :
Re:Time for new shocks
Casting my vote for the Bilstein's. $64.95 each (no freight) from your local Autozone. That way if anything ever goes wrong with them, easy to return. Difference of nite and day from the OEM shocks.

Re:Time for new shocks
Those of you with the Rancho 9000X's, do you really notice a difference in ride? I installed a set of them on my 99 2500 4x4 and I noticed no difference from the stock shocks. I have tried different adjustments on them and still notice no difference. I think I have them all on 3 right now (no remote).
Am I just not holding my mouth right? ???

Thanks,
Chris
