Need Help with insurance on Trailer Delivery

No one seems to know the answer to this around here and I'm sure you guys do...

I work for a trailer dealership. I'm selling a small trailer to a guy and he wants it delivered. I will be using my personal vehicle and deliver the trailer. By the time it leaves here the trailer will be in the customer's name. My boss said that I have to make sure the trailer is covered or I can't deliver it.

Is it possible to get insurance on this trailer for the delivery? I have State Farm insurance currently. Unfortunately, the lady I normally deal with is not in, so I had to talk to some other lady. I don't think she has any idea what it is I'm trying to do. She is "checking into it."

If this is possible, how do I word it to her in insurance-speak so that she understands?

I used to have state farm. They said anything hooked to my truck was covered for personal use. They would not how ever, cover anything to do with commercial. I think you're out of luck.

its not comercial use ... you had "borrowed it and are in the process of returning it to the owner" yeah yeah thats the ticket. or the customer is your friend and you are helping him out.

i have delivered motorcycles for customers before and as long as it was in my truck or trailer attached to my truck it was covered. just make sure that the insurance co. never finds out that you are being paid to deliver it. when you call back talk to the lady you know and explain it as your friend just bought a trailer from the place you work and has asked you to bring it home for him. your boss has put the insurance stipulation on you to cover his a$$ if something happens between the time you leave the shop and the customer accepts it as undamaged. we had another salesman deliver a quad for a customer and didn't put any straps on it cause his tailgate latched or so he thought... well he now has a slightly rashed quad from where it fell off on the interstate. his wife wasn't too happy about it though.
