Progressive and cargo trailer insurance

hey guys quick question. who here has progressive and a cargo trailer. I have a 96 40ft gooseneck toyhauler that im trying to insure but progressive states they dont insure trailers and that my auto covers it. I asked on the coverage and its up to a woppin 500 buckeroos. Im sure progressive has to cover trailers and im just dealing with a bonehead auto agent. Anyone else run into this or who do you get your insurance through?

I don't know who progressive is but my auto insurance doesn't insure trailers or antique vehicles either, probably the last 15-18 years. I buy my insurance from an insurance agent and they look after the various insurance companies.

After talking to the underwriting department, heres what we know. My truck covers the trailer up to 500 bucks ( that might cover nothing haha) Unless its a commercial policy i cant cover the trailer UNLESS Are you ready for this? I can cover it under my motorcycle/atv policy. Under that policy you can cover a trailer up to 10k i tell ya what.

I have my toy hauler insured through Progressive, about $150/yr. They were the cheapest at the time. That's all I know.

I do all my campers through Foremost. Don't know if they do cargo trailers though. I do know they have paid off perfectly on 2 claims.

HIghly recommend not using Progressive for anything other than a dog fight. Lousy company. My friend who has a body shop will not take anything from them unless the vehicle owner pays him directly for the repairs at his price. He will not take Geico either. Everyone else loves him. Friend has Progressive and they reamed him in an accident that was not his fault (Florida has "No fault"). I changed to Nationwide at my last renewal and saved a bunch of money. They also let you state the value of a trailer and charge you accordingly. I have 10K more coverage than before on the trailer and still pay $120 less than before for it.
