Need advice on BD TorqLoc Trans Controller
Need some advice.
I ordered an aftermarket torque converter and valve body, now shopping for a trans controller to help keep it locked up. Anyone have any experience with the BD TorqLoc Transmission Controller? http://www.dieselperformance.com/ram...ontrols&tt=ram At almost half the price of the ATS Commander and DTT Smart Controller, I am seriously considering it.
For those that have one, what do they mean by "The third position.......only maintains a lock up when the stock computer has already established a circuit"?
I remember reading that the DTT controller will keep the truck in 3rd until about 57mph to help keep line pressures up. Does the BD and ATS controller have the same function? Any pros/cons that you can see with this BD controller versus the ATS or DTT equivalent?
Thanks for any advice!

I have had the BD Torq Loc for almost 4 years now and it was a waste of money. I never use it and I tow for a living. There is no use for it.
Now the Smart controllers on the other hand I belive are ingenious. Although I dont own one, I would like to.
The gear you in while towing at different speeds is extremely important. Im not talking 3rd or OD. Im talking in all situatuons. If I could program my tranny to shift when I want it too that would be great. 0-15 1st gear, 15-40 2nd gear, 40-63 in 3rd gear, 63-114 0D.
May I also state that I purchased the BD Pressure loc that lasted about a year and a half and I have been thru two BD PnP boxes and now on my 3rd I can not hook up the boost fooler because it cause a loss of boost. Dont know why, but I emailed the folks at BD and got absolutely nowhere.

Great info....exactly what I'm looking for.
Is the DTT Smart Controller the only one that will change shift points or does the ATS unit also provide this function?
