I have a four inch lift on mine. This topic has been covered before on here if you want to do a search. The main issue is the clearence of the neck over your tailgate. If the trailer has an adjustable hitch i.e. pipe inside pipe with bolts hoding it together, usually you will be fine. My horse trailer is at a little slope, so I will probably put bigger tires on it when I get new trailer tires. I can't lower the truck so II'll lift the trailer.

I am a 4" lift and my tires and rims lifted the truck 2 more inches, my trailer is lifted a little and rifes slightly angled but I still have 8" of clearance.

i was thinking that if i put like a 2" block on the trailer with slightly bigger tires...also i dont want a horse or camper type trailer i want a flat bed one so i could probably find one with a higher hitch point.....

All the flats I pulled had pretty good clearance and a lot more adjustment on the neck than I needed.

I don't think I've ever pulled any national brands like Gator or Big Tex. Most trailers have the same design, just maybe different materials. I forgot that I also added bigger tires and they added maybe another inch to my height.
