I'm kinda on the hunt for a discontinued brake controller that i know has been used in the past on ABS systems...
My question is ..and i can't find the posts that may have been here...is anyone still using one of these Kelsy-Halyes 81740C's?....I am aware of all the options, of the other controllers, and although i respect their use, I don't need to be brought up to speed on any other controllers...just want to know who may be using one of these or has used one of these on a 3rd gen CTD mine is an 06'...

Wow, hydraulic K-H? I had one of those in my old '78 Power Wagon. You just can't get a better proportional brake controller than that! As I recall, mine was plumbed into the rear brake supply line.
Never gave me a bit of trouble. I thought that you couldn't use that style with ABS though, so I have crossed over to the electronic side.

to locate one of the last models built by KH that WAS approved for ABS. I've been told various things as to why they stopped production..most of them envolving potential for various lawsuits....for nonsensical reasons...so....I have a "want" ..to re-visit that approach for my own install...if you find the model I'm looking for ....make sure you find two and remember me....
