Road Trip To Georgia-Anybody need anything hauled

My son is home on leave for Christmas. He just bought a motorcycle. So I will be making a roadtrip from Southern Illinois to Ft. Gordon (Augusta) some time between 20 January and the middle of February to haul it down too him. Anybody got anything going that way or coming back. I work cheap (Beer, Food or Fuel) I was down there at Thanksgiving. It's not a bad trip. about 700 miles. It will be a lot quicker this time. Just me. I'll drive it straight thru, Last time I had the wife and kids with me and it took a day and a half each way. He bought a 2005 Ninja EX 250R. I was impressed with his constraint in not immediately buying a big Superbike. It looks like a sweet little bike and I think he will really enjoy it. I can't wait to ride it myself. Now I have an excuse to get back into biking. You know, Hey Honey! this will be a good Father/Son bonding experience. I need to buy a bike to go riding with him when he's home. Moderator's I'm not sure if this should be here or Other. I figured I was hauling something. Oh well, you decide.

I've got a guy wanting me to haul a car hood for him. But I really don't want to mess with it. It's going about 2 hours past Atlanta. You going that way. Thank's.

I live near Effingham. I'm going to Augusta which is about 2 hrs past Atlanta. Is that in the right direction? I will be hauling a motorcycle in the back. But if it's close and I have room I'll try to help you out. Send me a PM if you want.
madhat, Thanks for the offer. I hope I won't have to take you up on it, but it's always nice to know help is available.
scoggins, Thanks for the offer and the PM. I've been to Augusta once already, so I know right where I'm going.

The hood is going to Macon. The guy was supposed to call me back, but I haven't heard from him. It's a friend of a friend type deal.

When are you going.

Not sure of the exact date. Sometime in the above mentioned time period. I am off work during that time.
