Thumbs up just got it weighed

well i took the truck and camper in today and got it weighed they came in together at 21,820lbs wow didnt think it was gonna be that much but oh well what the heck. we are pulling out of Fairbanks, AK in about 4 weeks and going to Washington then to Oregon after we visit my mom and grams we are gonna head down to Arkansas to visit some more kin then after that were gonna shoot up to VA for a school i have to take for the Army and after that we will finish our trip in Hinnesville, GA. Of course we will find time along the way to stop and smell the roses. All in all i think it is going to be a really great trip me and the wife have been married now for 8 years and this will be our first vacation so we are pretty tickled about it the only thing i need to figure out is how im gonna keep the kids quite in the back seat for the entire trip well i just thought i would share my up coming adventure with yall. taker easy now and yall be safe out there

Don't feel bad, I weight my rig and I about had heart failure. I came in at 23700lbs. Which is a lot more than I expected. I still have a couple of things to add. With water, I figure I will be pushing 25,000lbs mark. It's more than I planned, but I'm stuck with it. Anthony

Keepin' them quiet

pick up a double screen DVD player, and double bucket load of kid's dvds. You will be glad you did. Around 160 bucks for a double at Walmart. Look in the RV section. Plays one dvd or different dvd's at the same time. a real life saver.
Thank me later

Kevinv,

What SandPiper did you get? I am looking at trading up from my 06 TT to a 08 295bhbs. In MT you can ride in the 5er going down the road. That is one of the reasons I am thinking of going to a 5er.

Aaron,

Hey buddy I got the Forest River SandPipper 315BHT. We got this one b/c of the kids, it has a bedroom in the back (with a door) it has bunk beds also in the back room. I'm pretty interested in the one you were talking about i have never heard of being able to ride in the 5ver while it is in tow but hey i just started the whole RVing. I hope that answered your question. Oh i see you can ride in them in MT.

I do not know about other states but you can NOT ride in the back in Canada. The Sandpiper 295bhbs (wont find it on the Forest river web site) is just like the 285BH except the queen bed up front has a side slide. I am trying to see if I can get the factory to put three bunks in the back instead of two. The 315BHT is a really nice 5er, love the floor plan but just a little bigger than I want.
