This is interesting...

Don't know if this has been discussed on here before or if anyone has seen these or used these before... Don't think I would personally try it! (Plus the price is pretty insane!) Just though I'd share it...

Nice if you'd need it; but insane pricing is an understatement.

I wonder how many they sell a year?

Looks kinda scary with the tag-trailer application. Could you have negative tongue weight on the tow vehicle?

Seeing how they have it fixed, not to turn on the tv so you can back up the trailer, it sure will scrub the tires off turning. The fixed hitching to the tv looks like it would put alot of stress on the frame.

Just my 2 cents

I'm sure they would have their aadvantages, I just can't think of one at the moment. Using this for a 5th wheeler you loose all the advantages of 5th wheel or goose neck. I'd like to watch the average RV'er back this set up into a campsite!!!! I can see possibilities for America's funniest vidio's.

Now Scotty can finally hook a 40 ft Trailer to his Yugo.

I agree, turning (especially sharp corners) would scrub the tires VERY quickly.

I like this thing! Looking at it it seems the wheels must pivot (in the vertical plane like a steering axle) or there would be too much torque on the truck's hitch. Looking at the video it looks like they do pivot.

Unfortunately too expen$ive to justify, but if Dodge made a Cummins equiped full-size SUV, it and this thing would make a tempting tow rig.

The HITCH BUDDY is designed to independently carry the full load of the trailer pin weight, thus allowing 100% of the vehicles horsepower to apply to pulling.
Pin weight affects how much hp is applied to pulling?

They forget to mention that you have to plate the thing and add it to your insurance. It is a Dolly, just like a big truck.

Hey, I could hook up another 50 foot trailer....

I can tell you where it has possibilites, pulling two trailers. I have given some thought to two 28 foot car haulers with a locked off dolly so that it would be backable to a degree. Tire scrubbing is not a problem as it would not scrub more than a tri axle trailer or a spread axle big truck. It does have to carry a license plate though.

I've seen 2 of those in my travels. The first time I saw it I thought I was seeing things. When I saw it the second time I knew it was real. Pretty interesting. They could probably make the wheels pivot...kinda like a concrete truck's rear helper wheels that fold down when hauling a heavy load.

When I was hauling RV's I saw another hauler use something like this to tow double. He rigged up something that he attached to the rear axle of the front trailer and then used a telescoping hitch to hook onto the the ball and get past the rear of the front trailer. Trying to make a corner with that unit would have been quite entertaining.

Wow, you can actually tow doubles with that thing, I'd think you'd need a heavier and bigger truck to do that than a 3500.

He had a light fifthwheel in front 25-27ft and a smaller bumper hitch behind. This was from the Fleetwood factory in Lindsay Ontario. The driver was from Quebec and had a new 03 Dodge. I was going to ask him how he liked his truck and in perfect english said "I can't speak english"!
